Reevaluate Your Standards Often and Ruthlessly

Our standards become the driving force behind our choices and our behavior.

The choices we make today influence our future. High standards that are impossible to reach can prevent us from living an overall “good life. This happens when a situation or outcome is not in alignment with our outdated wishes or someone else’s wishes we have made our own.

This leaves us feeling dissatisfied and often angry at ourselves and others. By not living up to our standards of beauty and financial success we place ourselves in a endless loop of disappointment; which, makes us anxious and frustrated.

Out of wack standards and expectations makes us feel like:

We’re not enough, even though we have been enough to create a good life for ourselves.

Our job sucks, even though it has been enough to maintain a good lifestyle.

Our partners have been a waste of time, even though we’ve been through so much together and have supported one another in difficult times.

But what is a good life, a good job, a good partner?

For me, a good life is when your life is better today than it was a few years back. A good job is a job that consistently relies on your experience and rewards you appropriately as your experience grows. A good partner is someone, who like you, is growing individually and is excited to grow in the same direction as you are.

I would love to hear what’s good about your life today.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers! 😘
