My BUJO Practice: Weekly and Daily Setup

My bullet journal approach is more analytical than artistic. It’s about self development and to keep track of projects in the studio and at home.

I have been using journaling as a way to organize my thoughts, ideas, and keep track of my projects for quite a few years now.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In this video I am showing you how to set up a simple and practical weekly page and daily entries that will help you maintain your journal practice on a daily basis.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My weekly page has an at-a-glance mini calendar and it’s divided in 4 columns to capture tasks related to studio and home projects-bullet journal style.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My daily entries are divided in 2 parts, AM and PM
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
AM sets the tone for the day, it includes:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
GRATITUDE - A statement of gratitude, because gratitude is grace.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
AFFIRMATION - A positive affirmation to help me keep my perspective grounded.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
PRIORITIES - A small list of 3 to 5 most important priorities of the day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
PM reflects on what happened in the day, it includes:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
WINS - A list or paragraph about my most important accomplishment/s of the day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
IMPROVE - A list or paragraph of outcome, behavior or character trait/s I would like to improve.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
LIFE NOTES - A paragraph about something personal like “aha” moments, family events, feelings and thoughts.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
STUDIO NOTES - A paragraph about the studio, like “aha” moments, ideas, and feedback on work completed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I believe that the therapeutic effect of journaling comes from the act of articulating life in writing, perhaps because in order to arrive at understanding, we must first describe it and articulate it coherently.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I really hope that at least some of these points can help you keep your journaling practice alive. Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers! 😘
