JACARANDA COLLECTION
Welcome to my very first surface pattern collection
Fern leaves, seed pods and geometric motifs inspired by a real Jacaranda tree from my neighborhood.
The patterns in the Jacaranda Collection use tossed style and geometric motifs that incorporate seven different leaves and one seed pod from a real Jacaranda tree right down my street in Los Angeles CA. See the Jacaranda tree that inspired this pattern here.
Conceptualized in April of 2021, the colors in this collection are taken from the seasonal changes of Fall into Spring in Southern California. Bright blue sky, fresh new blooms from beautiful pink trees all over Los Angeles, and green turf blades transitioning from dull beige to bright green are center stage and have given this collection a feeling of transition and change.
And a big thanks to my mentor Bonnie Christine for inspiring me to make a leaf pattern of my own.
